Emerge from the ashes of a former you.
By Wade Curtis
Acts 3:1-6
Many if not all of us have had to be carried to "the gate"  only to be dropped off just short of the entrance and how frustrating it must be to be so close but yet not close enough receive what you know belongs to you.
This condition was something this individual had dealt with all of his life and had relegated himself to only getting a piece from any one that would give him something. there's no conversation regarding this man insisting on being taking into the place were he could be made whole.

Many  Many Many.... Of us as children of GOD are still being carried to the gate and begging for a piece we've become so comfortable with our discomfort that all we want is a little something to make us feel better if only for a moment, we're happy if someone else is willing to carry us through hard times dark days and pain that seems to have no end.Our pieces might not be gold & silver it might be sex, drugs, food or a number of over indulgent behaviors, Oh did I mention CHURCH yeah many of us use church as a major crutch if the choir can just sing my song or my favorite preacher give one of those powerful messages I'll be ok until the next time.
GOD is bringing wholeness to the body we are no longer going to ask for someone to give something that's temporary but contend for the things that will make us whole. It's easy to feel good for a minute but it's time we be whole for life.

So I'm telling someone to take up your bed, the place where you've become comfortable, Strengthen your bones exercise your right to be whole & Walk, wOw walk away from the very people who dropped you off at the gate walk away from those who walked over you walk away from the familiar place, walk away from the pain, hurt, the memories of being lame. Remember you're whole now and there's a brand new you waiting to emerge from the ashes of a former you.
